Beautiful and Extremely Rare 1964 Solid 18ct Gold Mid-Size (30 mm’s) Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Ladies Vintage Watch

The Overview

This is a truly stunning example of the solid 18ct yellow gold ladies Midsize Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date dating from 1964. The solid 18ct yellow gold midsize case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear – the Rolex signed screw down crown is working perfectly. The Rolex signed champagne (lighter gold) dial is untouched and in near perfect condition. The yellow gold applied spearhead hour batons and original gold dauphine hands flow into the champagne dial and are perfectly framed by the gleaming yellow gold fluted bezel. The very high grade Rolex signed automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this beautiful piece we’ve added a new, high quality, Hirsch and Sonning Vintage Watches dark brown crocodile skin strap and yellow gold plated Hirsch buckle.

The midsize case is 29 mm’s across excluding the Rolex signed winding crown and, particularly from this age, are extremely rare. Watches of this quality and in this condition are highly sought after – if history is any judge they will only increase in value.

As mentioned, it has just been serviced by my watchmaker and, in view of the high-grade Swiss movement, I will include a 3 month guarantee on the movement which is long enough for you to assess the working order.

The Case

The solid 18ct yellow gold midsize case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear – the Rolex signed screw down crown is working perfectly. The case measures 29 mm’s across, excluding the Rolex signed winding crown, and 36 mm’s long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland’ and the case number is ‘6627’. It also has the appropriate hallmarks for solid 18ct gold.

The Dial

The Rolex signed champagne (lighter gold) dial is untouched and in near perfect condition. The yellow gold applied spearhead hour batons and original gold dauphine hands flow into the champagne dial and are perfectly framed by the gleaming yellow gold fluted bezel. The dial is signed ‘Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date’, ‘Officially Certified Chronometer’ and ‘T Swiss T’.
