Collector Condition 1930’s Solid Silver Full Size Rolex Oyster Cushion Gents Vintage Watch

The Overview

This is a stunning example of the super rare full size solid silver Rolex Oyster Cushion dating from the late 1920’s/early 1930’s. This is the forerunner of all Oysters and is also known as a triple case as the back and front are screw down.

The solid silver full size (32 mm’s excluding the extremely rare Oyster and Swiss Cross signed crown) solid silver case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original steel starburst guilloche (patterned) Rolex signed dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standard and is classically art-deco. The painted Arabic hour numbers, outer railway line minute markers, sub-second dial and blued steel cathedral hands are perfectly framed by the fluted screw down bezel. The very high grade Rolex signed ‘Prima’ manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker (please note, watches of this age will be 1 to 2 minutes fast/slow and we wouldn’t recommend it as an everyday watch). To complete this piece we’ve ordered a new, high quality, black crocodile skin ‘open-ended’ strap. It currently sits on a black calf skin croco-grain strap.

This is a beautiful example of this iconic watch and if history is any judge it will only increase in value.

As mentioned, it has just been serviced by my watchmaker and, in view of the high-grade Swiss movement, I will include a 3 month guarantee on the movement which is long enough for you to assess the working order.
