Collector Condition 1957 Steel & Solid Gold Rolex Oyster Datejust Gents Vintage Watch

The Overview

This is a collector condition example of the steel & solid gold Rolex Oyster Datejust from 1957. The original Rolex signed champagne pearlescent dial is untouched – we often refinish dials due to heavy patina but this one’s aged beautifully with only very minor signs of patina. Please bear in mind we use macro photography and the dial looks even more beautiful in real life and has subtly faded, this is often referred to as ‘African Sunset’. The applied gold spearhead batons and original gold hands flow into the dial and are perfectly framed by the solid gold fluted bezel. The solid gold & steel case is in near faultless condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The very high grade Rolex signed automatic movement is again in very good condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this beautiful piece we’ve added a new, super high quality, dark brown Hirsch and Sonning Vintage Watches crocodile skin strap with gold plated Hirsch buckle

Our asking price is below the value for a watch of this condition and rarity, particularly with the continual rise in value of vintage watches of this high quality. In view of the high grade Swiss movement, I will include a three month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order.
