Just Beautiful Full Size Solid 18ct Rose Gold 1960’s Zenith Automatic Gents Vintage Watch

The Overview

Zenith were one of the earliest watchmakers in Switzerland with the first watches produced in the 1865. The founder decided that Zenith would produce the movement, dial and case themselves and that tradition has carried on to this day. Very much a luxury brand, a Zenith pocket watch owned by Mahatma Ghandi recently sold for $2 Million…. Other famous owners include Prince Albert of Monaco and Roald Amundsen (the Norwegian explorer who wore Zenith on his expedition to be the first man to reach the South Pole).

This slightly oversize (just under 35 mm’s across excluding the Zenith crown) 1960’s Solid 18ct Rose gold watch is beautifully understated. The solid 18ct rose gold case is in excellent condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original Zenith steel pearlescent dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standards and is simply lovely. The slim applied gold batons and slim gold hands provide the softest contrast to the dial and blend perfectly with the gleaming rose gold case. The very high grade Zenith signed automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this piece we’ve added a new, high quality, dark brown Hirsch and Sonning Vintage Watches crocodile skin strap with yellow gold plated Hirsch buckle.

Watches of this quality and in this condition are extremely rare and highly sought after – if history is any judge they will only increase in value.

As mentioned, it has just been serviced by my watchmaker and, in view of the high-grade Swiss movement, I will include a 3 month guarantee on the movement which is long enough for you to assess the working order.
