Stunning 1962 Solid 18ct Gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual ‘Chronometer’ Gents Vintage Watch

Overview

This is a stunning example of the iconic Rolex Oyster Perpetual dating from 1962. The original and extremely beautiful champagne pearlescent Rolex signed dial is untouched – we usually re-finish dials as this age often has heavy patina but this one’s aged beautifully – please note, the dial is champagne pearlescent and see picture 6 for better idea of the actual colour. This dial is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of patina. The applied gilt (gold colour) angled hour batons and gilt dauphine hands provide a soft contrast to the dial and are perfectly frame by the solid 18ct gold ‘Thunderbird’ bezel. The solid 18ct Gold Rolex signed case is again in excellent condition. The very high grade Rolex signed Chronometer standard automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been serviced by my watchmaker. To complete this iconic watch I’ve added a new, super high quality, Hirsch and Sonning Vintage Watches dark brown alligator skin strap (these retail at £195.00) with gold plated buckle (we can of change the strap colour/material if required)

Watches of this quality and in this condition are extremely rare and highly sought after – if history is any judge they will only increase in value.

As mentioned, it has just been serviced by my watchmaker and, in view of the high-grade Swiss movement, I will include a 3 month guarantee on the movement which is long enough for you to assess the working order.
