This is a stunning example of the Solid 18ct gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual dating from 1961. The solid 18ct gold case is in near flawless condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original Rolex signed steel pearlescent dial is untouched – we usually find dials from this age require refinishing due to heavy patina – and in exceptional condition. The applied gold and very rare shaped hour batons along with the original gold hands provide a soft contrast the dial and are perfectly framed by the gleaming fluted bezel. The super high grade Rolex signed automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this beautiful piece we’ve added a new, super high quality dark brown Hirsch and Sonning Vintage Watches alligator strap with aftermarket gold plated Rolex buckle.
My asking price is below the value for a watch of this condition and rarity, particularly with the continual rise in value of vintage watches of this high quality. In view of the high grade Swiss movement, I will include a 12 month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order.
