This is an exceptional example of the solid 18ct gold Rolex Oyster ‘Zephyr’ dial from 1967. The solid 18ct gold case is as near flawless as we’ve seen with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original Rolex signed champagne dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standard and is stunning. The raised dot hour batons, cross hair and original gold hands flow into the dial and are perfectly framed by the solid gold Thunderbird bezel. The extremely high grade Rolex signed ‘1570’ automatic movement is again exceptional condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this piece we’ve added a new, super grade Hirsch and Sonning Vintage Watches dark brown ‘London’ alligator strap with gold plated Hirsch buckle (these retail at £195.00). We also have the Hirsch franchise so can supply any strap in their range.
My asking price is below the value for a watch of this condition and rarity, particularly with the continual rise in value of vintage watches of this high quality. In view of the high grade Swiss movement, I will include a 12 month written guarantee on the movement, which is long enough for you to assess the working order.
