This is a beautiful example of the rectangular cased Rolex from the 1940’s. The solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear – very rarely the model reference and serial number are clearly visible on the caseback. The original Rolex signed slightly off-white dial has been professionally refinished to the highest standard and is classically late art-deco. There are some minor marks on the dial and I’d be happy to send a Whatsapp video on the wrist as they’re very difficult to see with the naked eye. The high grade Rolex signed manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been serviced by SHWR. To complete this lovely piece we’ve added a new black Hirsch croco-grain strap with steel Hirsch buckle.

Whilst this is a robust watch we wouldn’t recommend it for everyday wear.

The case measures 22mm across, excluding the crown and 39mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Rolex Geneve Suisse’, ’27 Records Universels’ and ‘SAR’.

Although there is no original paperwork, we do provide a written invoice and 3 page insurance valuation with the pictures of the watch and all available reference numbers.
