Just Beautiful 1951 Solid 18ct Yellow Gold IWC Gents Vintage Watch

The Overview

We are working with a UK based collector who has asked us to market a selection of his watches. As part of the offer each watch has had a full service and refurbishment by the UK’s leading watchmaker, Steven Hale Watch Restoration. Each watch will come with a 2 year guarantee from Steve Hale and a lifetime guarantee on the authenticity by Sonning Vintage Watches.

IWC are one of the most respected watchmakers in the World. Founded in 1868, it has become a Premier League brand for both the super quality movements and classic design. This 1951 IWC dress watch sums up the brand. The beautiful solid 18ct yellow gold case is in very good condition but does have a few minor ripples in the case back. We believe the original champagne/mustard dial is untouched but we do guarantee it’s original to the watch. The raised gold hour batons and original gold plated hands create a classically elegant look. With the domed lens it’s a difficult watch to capture and the first picture is the clearest representation – I have done a What’s App wrist video. The original IWC signed manual wind movement is in excellent condition and has just been serviced by SHWR. To complete this beautiful piece we’ve put the watch on a new, dark brown Hirsch croco-grain strap with yellow gold plated Hirsch buckle.

Watches of this quality and in this condition are extremely rare to find. I’ve struggled to capture the true beauty of this piece so I’ve done a wrist video – please advise your What’s App number if you’d like to see it.

Although there is no original paperwork, we do provide a written invoice and 3 page insurance valuation with the pictures of the watch and all available reference numbers. The Conclusion

This is a beautiful example of a watch from one of horology’s most famous names and will, if history is any judge, provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to treasure and enjoy. I will provide an insurance valuation in excess of my asking price. Please appreciate the difficulty of photographing this piece, it looks even better in real life. Subject to your location I’ll happily show the watch.
