We are working with a UK based collector who has asked us to market a selection of his watches. As part of the offer each watch has had a full service and refurbishment by the UK’s leading watchmaker, Steven Hale Watch Restoration. Each watch will come with a 2 year guarantee from Steve Hale and a lifetime guarantee on the authenticity by Sonning Vintage Watches.
Patek Philippe are quite simply the most famous and most prestigious watchmaker in the world. They have broken pretty much every record in terms of accuracy, price, rarity and waiting lists. Founded in 1839 they created many of the most famous watches in the world.
This example was made in 1951 and after the SHWR refurbishment is in collector condition. The relatively (for the day) large square solid 18ct yellow gold case is immaculate with only the most minor signs of wear. The original Patek signed steel dial is untouched and in excellent condition with only minor signs of aging. The applied gold Roman numeral hour markers at the quarters and outer gold batons create a beautiful late art-deco look. The original and super high grade Patek signed manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by SHWR (the movement and case numbers match the Patek extract of archives). The watch sits on a new dark brown genuine Patek Philippe crocodile strap with solid 18ct gold signed Patek buckle (c.£1,100.00).
Whilst we don’t have the original paperwork (as few as 1 in a thousand watches of this age have the paperwork) we do have a Patek Philippe extract of archives dated from 2019 confirming all the details and references.
I’ve prepared a wrist video and if you’d like a copy please advise your WahtsApp number.
All Patek’s are special but this one sits amongst the top due to the condition, originality and simple elegance.
