Stunning 1950 Solid 18ct Gold Patek Philippe 2457 30mm Unisex Watch with Patek Extract

The Overview

We are working with a UK based collector who has asked us to market a selection of his watches. As part of the offer each watch has had a full service and refurbishment by the UK’s leading watchmaker, Steven Hale Watch Restoration. Each watch will come with a 2 year guarantee from Steve Hale and a lifetime guarantee on the authenticity by Sonning Vintage Watches.

Patek Philippe are quite simply the most famous and most prestigious watchmaker in the world. They have broken pretty much every record in terms of accuracy, price, rarity and waiting lists. Founded in 1839 they created many of the most famous watches in the world.

This example was made in 1950 and the dial is classically late art-deco. It would’ve originally been a gents watch but at 30mm across it’s now very much a unisex piece. The solid 18ct yellow gold case is in excellent condition with no signs of wear after the SHWR refurbishment. The original Patek signed ivory/cream dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standards and is stunning. The raised gold ‘Breguet’ hour numbers with individual minute markers around the edge and gold hands (blued steel second hand). The very high grade Patek signed manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has been fully serviced by SHWR. The watch sits on a new, super high quality, black Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with gold plated Hirsch buckle. We also have the Patek Extract of Archives confirming the movement and case numbers.

Patek Philippe have maintained their number 1 position by constantly creating some of the most beautiful and highly engineered watches in the World.

This is a rare and highly collectable vintage watch from one of horology’s most famous names and will, if history is any judge, provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to treasure and enjoy. I will provide an insurance valuation in excess of my asking price. Please appreciate the difficulty of photographing this piece, it looks even better in real life.
