This is a beautiful example of the iconic Rolex Oyster Perpetual dating from 1954 (the serial number is very hard to read so we’ve dated it from the date stamp in the inside case back – serial numbers on watches of this age are often worn away by the bracelet end pieces). The steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original and untouched slightly off-white dial is again in very good condition (for clarity the hour batons and Rolex crown at the ’12’ position are steel – some of the pictures are reflecting a gold colour). The original Rolex signed automatic ‘Butterfly’ movement is again in very good condition and has just been fully serviced by our watchmaker. Automatics from this age will require some manual winding even with wear. To complete this stunning watch we’ve added a new, super high quality black Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with steel Hirsch buckle.
In view of the condition and quality of the movement we will give a 12 month guarantee.
