Rolex had a number of watches to celebrate the Air Force and in 1945 released the Air-King and it took over from the Air Giant, Air Tiger and Air Lion to become the last of their ‘A’ series watches and is still made today.
This is a wonderfully original example of the beautiful Rolex Air-King ‘Super Precision’ from 1958. The solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original Rolex signed dial is heavy with patina and almost tropical. We can have this refinished to its original ivory/cream colour but we’re hoping someone will see the beauty of it. The very high grade Rolex signed automatic ‘1530’ movement is again in very good condition and it’s just been serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this magnificent watch we’ve added a new, high quality, black Hirsch crocodile skin strap with steel Hirsch buckle.
In view of the quality and condition of the movement we will give a 12 month warranty.
