Sell Your Watch

At Sonning Vintage Watches, we pride ourselves on offering a simple, personal and respectful approach when it comes to purchasing timepieces. If you’re considering selling your watch, our process is both straightforward and discreet.

To begin, simply send us a few key details along with up to five clear photographs of your watch. Once received, we’ll take a careful look and respond promptly with an expression of interest and an initial offer, subject of course to physical inspection.

Should you wish to proceed, we’ll guide you step-by-step through the best options of sending your watch to us. Upon arrival, we carry out a full inspection and, once everything is in order, make a firm offer. If you accept, payment is made immediately via bank transfer.

If you decide not to go ahead for any reason, that’s absolutely fine — your watch will be returned to you without charge, via tracked and fully insured next-day delivery. If the watch differs from the description provided, we kindly ask that you cover the return postage.

Our focus lies in vintage mechanical watches made from around 1945 through to the 1990s, though we’re also happy to consider selected modern pieces from 1990 to the present day.

We are only interested in watches from the brands we stock, including:
Rolex, Omega, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, IWC, Longines, Universal Genève, Heuer, and Zenith.

Please note we only purchase mechanical watches — either manual-wind or automatic — with the exception of ladies’ Cartier quartz models, which we may also consider.
