This is a simply beautiful example of the iconic Rolex Datejust from 1987/89 – the R serial covers these 3 years (it’s also the quick date set model allowing the date to be set without moving the hands around the dial twice..). The steel and solid 18ct gold (fluted bezel) case is in excellent condition with only a few minor very fine scuffs or scratches. The original Rolex signed champagne pearlescent dial is magnificent! The applied gold batons and hands flow perfectly into the champagne dial and solid gold fluted bezel. The super high grade chronometer standard Rolex signed automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. The watch sits on a new, super high grade dark brown Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with Hirsch gold plated buckle. We also have the original Rolex box, inner and outer, which is in very good condition and has the original Rolex sticker on the side saying ‘16233’.
