The Rolex Air-King has a wonderful history in the Rolex collection. They combined the Air Lion, Air Tiger and Air-Giant (introduced to celebrate the RAF in the second World War) into the Air-King.

This example was made in 1964 and the solid steel case is in near faultless condition. The original Rolex signed steel pearlescent dial is again in excellent condition. The very high grade Rolex signed automatic movement is also in excellent condition and has just been serviced by Steven Hale (£650 or so). The watch sits on a new high quality, black Hirsch crocodile skin strap with a steel Hirsch buckle.

This example was made in 1964 and the solid steel case is in near faultless condition. The case measures 34mm across, excluding the Rolex signed crown and 39mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland’, Patented Stainless Steel’, ‘1002’ and the age reference is ‘IV 64’ dating it to 1964.
