We are working with a UK based collector who has asked us to market a selection of his watches. As part of the offer each watch has had a full service and refurbishment by the UK’s leading watchmaker, Steven Hale Watch Restoration. Each watch will come with a 2 year guarantee from Steve Hale and a lifetime guarantee on the authenticity by Sonning Vintage Watches.
Patek Philippe are quite simply the most famous and most prestigious watchmaker in the world. They have broken pretty much every record in terms of accuracy, price, rarity and waiting lists. Founded in 1839 they created many of the most famous watches in the world.
This is a simply beautiful example of why Patek are so revered. The solid 18ct gold yellow gold bull horn or scarab case is in as near flawless condition as possible as is the genuine Patek Philippe winding crown – this is a relatively small watch at 32mm across which was the fashion at the time. The original and untouched Patek signed ivory/cream dial is in overall very good condition with only a few signs of wear around the edges and some minor scratches that are hard to see. We can have the dial refinished but this would harm the beauty of this dial. The railway line outer minute marker along with the sub-second and original gold stick hands create an absolutely stunning dial. The super high grade original Patek signed manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been serviced by Steven Hale. The watch sits on a new, dark brown alligator strap with a non Patek gold plated buckle. We’ve also got the Extract of Archives directly from Patek Philippe, which confirms the watch was made in 1945 and sold in 1946 (without a strap :))
We’re struggling to find vintage Pateks as most owners keep them for a lifetime.
