This is a simply beautiful example of the iconic Rolex Datejust from 1987 – 1989 – It has the ‘R’ serial which covers this 3 year period. It was sold in 1988. The solid steel case is in near flawless condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original and untouched Rolex signed jet black dial is again in near flawless condition and it’s also the ‘Sigma’ meaning the hands and applied hour batons are solid white gold. It’s also the quick date set model allowing the date to be changed without turning the hands around the dial twice. The super high grade Rolex signed chronometer standard automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been serviced by our professional watchmaker. The watch sits on a new, super high grade, black Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with a steel Hirsch buckle. In terms of provenance we have:
