Super Rare 19mm Mid 1950’s – Mid 1960’s Rolex Flexi-Bracelet Made by WAB in England – Needs Repair
WAB stands for Watch Accessories Birmingham and was owned by Oscar Winter who was a personal friend of Hans Wilsdorf (founder of Rolex) and they produced bracelets for Rolex to avoid import duties. Very few have survived and whilst this one is in good aesthetic condition some of the link springs have gone (we do have other 19mm Rolex flexi-bracelets and would be happy to provide spare links if required) and one of the rivet arms has come undone. It has 11 links and measures around 14.5cm non stretch. It is signed ‘Rolex Made in England Stainless Steel WAB’ on the deployment clasp and the end pieces have the reference ‘Reg 875089’. This would’ve been used for Oysters. They were recognised as amongst the best Rolex bracelets made during this time. The deployment clasp is engraved ‘AJ Muscott Workington’, again, we do have a genuine Rolex deployment clasp if required (not to replace but in addition).
