If Rolex are known for one watch it would be the Submariner and the 5513 is probably the most famous. Introduced in 1962, it ran through to 1990 and was the original ‘Tool’ watch. This 5513 was made in 1971/3 (serial 3.83million) and sold in 1976. The steel case is in excellent condition with only minor signs of surface scratching and wear (I have done a WhatsApp video if required). The original Rolex signed dial is in excellent condition and is classically 5513 – matt with painted hour batons (the hands, whilst Rolex, are newer than the watch). The very high grade Rolex signed automatic movement is again in excellent condition and is being serviced by our watchmaker as I write this introduction. The watch sits on a genuine Rolex ‘light’ bracelet with the references ‘S P11’ dating it to 1994 which suggests it’s a Rolex service bracelet. It also has the reference of 9315 on the deployment and one of the end pieces which dates it to around 1976. The bracelet is in good overall condition with sag and has 12 links. Very rarely we also the original Rolex guarantee paperwork showing the watch was sold in the UK in 1976. We also have the correct Rolex box – we bought the watch with the box so can’t guarantee it’s original to the watch but is period correct.
In view of the high quality movement and condition we will give a 12 month guarantee on the movement.
