We are working with a local collector and he’s asked us to list a couple of his watches. He bought this watch from Rolex Nottingham in 1993 and wore it regularly until it had a major service in 2018 – he’s worn it a couple of times since.
The solid steel case is in overall excellent condition with only a few minor scratches and scuffs which are hard to see with the naked eye. The original Rolex signed coppery/champagne pearlescent dial has aged slightly towards the centre to a sunburst look. The very high grade chronometer standard automatic movement is in excellent condition and our watchmaker has given it a full service. The watch sits on the original Rolex Jubilee bracelet which is again is in excellent condition with limited sag/stretch. In terms of provenance we have:
- The original Rolex punched papers
- The original Rolex boxes – inner and outer – with the Rolex sticker and price on the side.
- The original Rolex brochures, calendar and swing-tag with the correct serial number
- The service record from Jon Vincent Watchmakers
It’s extremely rare to find any paperwork from this period so to find such a comprehensive set is wonderful. We give a lifetime guarantee on all our watches and also a 12 month guarantee on the movement.
