Beautiful 1960 Solid 9ct Gold IWC (34mm) Gents Vintage Watch with IWC Box and IWC Extract of Archives

The Overview

This is a beautiful example of the IWC 1209 dating from 1960. The solid 9ct gold full size (34mm) case is in very good condition with only some minor signs of wear/surface scratching and a small ding on the caseback. The IWC signed ivory/cream dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standards and is classically understated. The applied gold hour batons and applied gold Arabic hour numbers at the quarters along with the gold ‘stick’ hands create a stunning look. The very high grade IWC signed calibre 401 manual wind movement is again in very good condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this beautiful piece we’ve added a new, super high quality, dark brown Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with gold plated Hirsch buckle. Very rarely we have a genuine IWC box, which is in very good condition. As with the vast majority of watches the watch doesn’t come with its original paperwork. However, we do have the IWC Extract of Ledger, which confirms the watch details and that it was sold in 1960.
