The Rolex Submariner is arguably the most famous watch in the World. Worn by Presidents, Movie Stars and Watch Dealers… Introduced in 1953 it was the first watch to be waterproof to 100 meters. Adopted by Ian Fleming’s hero, James Bond the latest models design can easily be traced back to the original.

This example was made in 1996/97 (‘T’ serial covers both years) and it’s in excellent condition. The case is meaty and has been softly polished to take out the minor surface scratches. The original Rolex signed dial is immaculate and the very high grade Rolex signed automatic movement is in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. The watch sits on it’s original bracelet (age reference letter on the deployment is ‘V’) which is very good condition with only fairly minor stretch. Whilst we haven’t got the original paperwork we do have a period correct Rolex box and a genuine age correct Rolex Submariner brochure.

The case is meaty and has been softly polished to take out the minor surface scratches. The case measures 40mm across, excluding the Rolex signed crown and 47mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland’, ‘Stainless Steel’ and ‘14060’.
