This is a beautifully original example of the Rolex Oyster Mid-Size from the 1956. Originally a man’s size watch, the 31mm case size is more suited to a lady now but men do wear them. The solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original and untouched Rolex signed linen or textured dial is stunning. It has aged to a beautiful ivory/cream colour and the steel hands and blued steel second hand are again original. I’ve struggle to capture the colours so would be happy to send a WhatsApp video if required. The original high grade Rolex signed ‘Precision’ standard manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been serviced by SHWR. To complete this watch we’ve added a new, high quality, black hide strap with aftermarket stainless steel Rolex buckle. Whilst a robust watch and will be fine for occasional wear we wouldn’t recommend it for everyday wear.

This is a beautiful example of an early Rolex Oyster that’s nearly 70 years old. If history is any judge it will provide a lovely watch to wear and a good investment.

The solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The case measures 31mm across, excluding the Rolex signed crown and 37mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland’, ‘Patented Stainless Steel’, ‘6444’ and the age reference is ‘111.56’ dating it to 1956.

Although there is no original paperwork, we do provide a written invoice and 3 page insurance valuation with the pictures of the watch and all available reference numbers.
