After selling around 3,000 watches over the last 17 years this is the first time we’ve had a Rolex from 60 plus years ago that has been virtually unworn. There are a few minor scratches on the case sides and back but we believe it’s never been polished. It has what we believe is the original dark brown leather Rolex branded strap and original steel Rolex buckle. The dial is immaculate and the movement looks as though it’s never been touched – the screws have no signs of scratching. We purchased it from the family of the original owner and whilst there’s no paperwork or box we give a lifetime guarantee on the provenance and authenticity. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland’, ‘Patented Stainless Steel’, ‘1500’ and the age reference is ‘111.60’.
