This is a beautiful example of the iconic Rolex Datejust quick date set (allows the date to be set without moving the hands around the dial) from 1979. The steel and solid white gold (bezel) case is in overall excellent condition with only a few minor signs of wear. The original and untouched Rolex signed silver pearlescent dial is again in excellent condition and looks stunning – the applied steel hour batons and steel hands flow beautifully into the pearlescent/sun burst dial and are perfectly framed by the solid white gold fluted bezel. The super high grade chronometer standard movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. We also have what we believe is the original Rolex Jubilee bracelet. It has a lot of ‘sag’ but aesthetically it’s excellent and safe. We will also include a super high quality Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap if required (retail £230). Very rarely we also have the following provenance:
- The original Rolex punched papers
- A period correct Rolex box – inner and outer (the ‘crater’ outer box is in very good condition with only a few signs of age
- The original year correct Rolex calendar and leatherette pouch
