The Rolex Day-Date was the original and, to this day, their flagship watch – one of the many famous advertisements for this watch featured a Boardroom table with the strap line of ‘Men who make decisions wear a Day-Date (apologies for the sexist nature…).
This example was made in 1969 (serial 2.68 million) and the solid 18ct yellow gold case is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear – there are a few very minor surface scratches. The original and untouched champagne pearlescent dial is in excellent condition – the gold applied hour batons and gold hands flow beautifully into the champagne dial and are perfectly framed by the bark style solid 18ct gold bezel. The very high grade Rolex signed automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. We have put a new, super high quality, black ‘London’ alligator skin strap with gold plated buckle.
In view of the high quality movement we will give a 12 month guarantee.
