This is a stunning example of the Rolex Oyster Datejust from 1969. The solid steel and white gold (bezel) case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original Rolex signed steel Pie Pan dial is untouched and in very good condition. The applied steel hour batons and steel hands provide the softest contrast to the dial and are perfectly framed by the solid white gold fluted bezel. The very high grade Rolex signed automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. The watch sits on a genuine Rolex Jubilee bracelet which is aesthetically in excellent condition but does have significant sag. The bracelet and watch measures just under 20.5cm and being an early bracelet doesn’t have screw links so please check your wrist size before ordering. We’d be happy to include a new, super high quality black Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap (retail cost £230).
My asking price is below the value for a watch of this condition and rarity, particularly with the continual rise in value of vintage watches of this high quality. In view of the high grade Swiss movement, I will include a 12 month written guarantee on the movement.
