This is a beautiful example of the iconic Rolex Datejust from 1971 (made) and 1973 (sold). The solid steel case is in near flawless condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original Rolex signed slightly pearlescent steel dial is also in excellent condition. The super high grade Rolex signed chronometer standard automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been serviced by our professional watchmaker. The watch sits on a new, super high quality black Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with steel Hirsch buckle.

We bought this watch via another dealer, from the original owner’s family and the provenance came with it. There isn’t a serial number on the guarantee document but it is the correct model and period correct for the watch. We are as sure as we can that it is original and certainly genuine Rolex.

In view of the condition and quality of the movement we will give a 12 month guarantee.

The solid steel case is in near flawless condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The case measures 36mm across, excluding the Rolex signed crown and 43mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland’, ‘Patented Stainless Steel’ and ‘1603’. The age reference is ‘111.71’ dating it to 1971.
