This is a beautiful example of the iconic Rolex Oyster Quick-Date Set Datejust from 1987/88. The serial number is R which dates it to 1987/88. The steel and solid yellow gold (fluted bezel) case is in excellent condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original and untouched champagne pearlescent Rolex signed dial is again in excellent condition and looks stunning. The Rolex signed, chronometer-grade automatic movement is in excellent condition, having been serviced by Rolex in 2023 and, more recently, fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. The watch sits on a new, super high quality, dark brown Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with gold plated Hirsch buckle.

Very rarely for a Datejust of this age, the watch also comes with an excellent collection of original provenance, including:

• Original Rolex punched papers
• Original Rolex Chronometer chip
• Original Rolex generic brochure
• Rolex service card dated 2023

The movement is signed ‘Rolex SA Geneva Swiss’, ‘Twenty Seven 27 Jewels’, ‘Adj. 5 Positions and Temp’, and the calibre is ‘3035’. The movement number is ‘2078300’. The serial number is R311*** dating it to 1987/88.
