Rolex made some of the most beautiful dress watches in the world during the 1940’s and 1950’s. They have become some of the most collectable and sought after watches in our range. Many were 30mm across the case, known as mid-size, and 33mm known as full size. Just a few are known as oversize which is 34 or 35mm across the case excluding the winding crown.
This 35mm Rolex Precision was made in 1947 (serial number 419130) and is stunning. The very rare steel (back) and solid rose gold front with engine turned bezel case is in near flawless condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original slightly off-white Rolex signed has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standard and is classically late art-deco. The painted rose gold Roman numeral hour numbers at the quarters with rose gold strip hour batons along with the original rose gold stick hands is perfectly framed by the solid rose gold bezel. The very high grade Rolex signed manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by SHWR. The watch sits on a new, high quality, dark brown Hirsch crocodile skin strap with aftermarket rose gold plated Rolex buckle.
