This is a stunning example of the iconic Rolex Datejust from 1987. Very rarely it has one of the rarest and most desirable dial styles, the tapestry. The steel and solid 18ct gold (fluted bezel) case is in excellent condition with only very minor signs of wear. The original and untouched light champagne ‘tapestry’ dial is again in excellent condition and looks fantastic (there are a couple of very minor scratches on the lens and these will be removed prior to delivery). The super high grade chronometer standard movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by Pacha of London in June 2026 at a cost of £1,300. The watch sits on a new, super high quality, dark brown Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with gold plated Hirsch buckle. In terms of provenance we have:
- The original Rolex punched papers
- The original Rolex wallet with the correct serial number on
- The service letter from Pacha on London
Finding any provenance from a watch of this age is rare and to have the full service from Pacha is wonderful. In view of the quality and condition of the movement we will give a 12 month guarantee with Pacha.
