This is probably the rarest and to be frank beautiful watches we’ve ever listed and, for interest, the only quartz movement.
Jean Lassale were a Swiss watchmaker formed in the 1970’s with an express desire to create the thinnest watch movement in the World – they managed to create a movement that was 1.2mm in thickness… They were eventually bought by Seiko to spearhead their move into luxury watches but sadly they changed direction and the brand was put on ice.
This particular model was their flagship and designed to compete with Vacheron and Patek Philippe. The solid 18ct gold case and bracelet, with the spare links, weighs in at 187gms (this does include the movement, lens and dial) and is in excellent condition. The barrel bracelet was designed Jorg Hysek who is recognised as one of the most influential watch designers in the World – after a stint in the Rolex design department he went on to create Hysek watches. The condition of the watch is excellent after a very soft polish to remove some fine surface scratches and the bracelet is the same. The quartz movement has been checked by our professional watchmaker and is in excellent condition. We have the original box, spare links and the original sale brochure.
This is a stunning piece from one of the most innovative Swiss brands and would be at home in any collection.
