This is a wonderful example of the first GMT watch Omega produced – at the time of writing there’s only one for sale in the UK with no provenance or Omega service. Bought in Bloomingdales in 2007 for $2,947 it’s just back from a full service and bracelet change via Goldsmiths at a price of £1,700… It has been worn a few times since the service so has some minor surface scratches but is in overall excellent condition. It will have been polished during the service and looking at the bezel insert I would say this was replaced as it’s in excellent condition. In terms of provenance we have:
- The original purchase receipt
- The original Omega International warrant card and Omega pouch
- The Omega instruction manual
- An America’s Cup postcard supplied by Bloomingdales at the time of purchase
- The Omega boxes, inner and outer (flaking to the inner box)
- Spare Omega bracelet link
The warranty from the service will be 24 months.
