Well, this is where we began… This is a beautiful example of the large size rectangular case Rolex from around 1933. The solid 9ct gold case is in overall excellent condition with a few minor marks to the case sides (I’ve just noticed the picture of the non-crown case side has a dark shadow by the lug – this is only a shadow and not a hole) and a few very shallow dings to the case back. The original ivory/paper colour Rolex signed dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standards and is classically art-deco. The exaggerated hour numbers, sub-second dial and blued steel hands. The Rolex signed manual wind movement is again in very good condition and has just been fully serviced by our watchmaker – please not, watches of this age are not robust for everyday wear and will be 2 to 3 minutes plus or minus a day. To complete this beautiful piece we’ve added a black crocodile skin strap with gold plated buckle.
Watches of this age and in particular size are extremely rare and we will give a 12 month guarantee on the movement.
