Rolex made some of the most beautiful dress watches in the world during the 1940’s and 1950’s. They have become some of the most collectable and sought after watches in our range. Many were 30mm across the case, known as mid-size, and 33mm known as full size. Just a few are known as oversize which is 34 or 35mm across the case excluding the winding crown.
This 35mm Rolex Precision was made in 1946 (serial number 446293) and is stunning. The very rare steel (back) and solid rose gold front case is in near flawless condition with only the most minimal signs of wear. The original slightly off-white Rolex signed dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standard and is classically late art-deco. The painted rose gold batons at the quarters with black strip hour batons in between and the rose gold stick hands (blued steel second hand) creates a simply beautiful dial. The high grade Rolex signed manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been fully serviced by SHWR. The watch sits on a new, high quality, black Hirsch crocodile skin strap with yellow gold plated Hirsch buckle.
