Patek Philippe are quite simply the most famous and most prestigious watchmaker in the world. They have broken pretty much every record in terms of accuracy, price, rarity and waiting lists. Founded in 1839 they created many of the most famous watches in the world.
This is a wonderfully original example of the larger size solid 18ct yellow gold Calatrava from the mid 1960’s. The solid 18ct gold ‘hidden lug’ case is in exceptional condition with only the most minor signs of wear – the strap folds into the lugs and creates a stunning look. The original and untouched ivory/cream Patek signed ‘Sigma’ dial – see the ‘O’ either side of ‘Swiss’ at the bottom of the dial; this means the hands and applied batons are solid gold – is in overall very good condition but does have signs of wear on the outer sections. It can be seen around the ’12’, ‘4’, ‘5’ and between and the ‘7’ and ‘8’ batons. It’s hard to see with the naked eye and I’m always happy to send high res. pictures or a wrist video. The super high grade Patek signed manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been serviced by our professional watchmaker. The watch sits on a new, super high quality, dark brown Hirsch ‘London’ alligator with a gold plated Hirsch buckle.
In view of the condition and quality of the movement we will give a 12 month guarantee.
