Hans Wilsdorf registered the name Tudor to sell watches side by side with Rolex in 1936 – he even added the English rose as the emblem (Rolex was formed in London in 1905). Rolex have been expanding the brand over the last few years with David Beckham being their brand ambassador.

The Prince Day-Date was their flagship watch and this example is in excellent condition. The solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original dial is again in excellent condition and original to the watch. The Tudor signed high grade automatic movement is again in excellent condition. The watch sits on what we believe is the original Rolex/Tudor Jubilee bracelet. Aesthetically it’s in excellent condition but does have age related sag. This is a stunning looking watch with all the heritage of Rolex and less than half the price of the Rolex Day-Date.

The solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The case measures 37mm across, excluding the Rolex signed crown and 46mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Tudor SA’, ‘Geneva Switzerland Patented Stainless Steel’ and ‘CRS (this is Charles Renee Spillman who was the World famous Rolex casemaker)’.
