The Rolex Day-Date was the original and, to this day, their flagship watch – one of the many famous advertisements for this watch featured a Boardroom table with the strap line of ‘Men who make decisions wear a Day-Date (apologies for the sexist nature…).
This example was made in 1977 and the solid 18ct yellow case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original and stunning Rolex signed crisp white dial has been professionally refinished a few years ago and is in overall very good condition with only minor signs of wear – there is semi-circle mark above the ‘8’ baton and this is a hair; these are difficult to see in normal wear. The super high grade Rolex signed chronometer standard automatic movement is again in excellent condition and has just been serviced by our professional watchmaker. The watch sits on a new, super high quality, dark brown Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with a Hirsch gold plate buckle.
