We are working with a UK based collector who has asked us to market a selection of his watches. As part of the offer each watch has had a full service and refurbishment by the UK’s leading watchmaker, Steven Hale Watch Restoration. Each watch will come with a 2 year guarantee from Steve Hale and a lifetime guarantee on the authenticity by Sonning Vintage Watches.
Founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in Switzerland, Heuer were masters of the complication. Their first Chronograph was patented in 1882, over 20 years before Rolex was founded. This example was made in the 1940’s and is a stunning piece of engineering. The steel and gold capped case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear – note the satin finish on the case sides. The original and untouched dial is a work of art. They’ve some how made a triple dial, with day, date and month along with the large second hand look fabulous and not too busy. I’ve tried to capture the colours but just in case.. The alternating painted gold hour numbers and dot batons, the outer date ring is in blue and the hands are gold. The complication manual wind movement is again in excellent condition and has just been serviced by SHWR. The watch sits on a new Hirsch, tan, leather strap with steel Hirsch buckle.
Watches of this quality with a sympathetic refurbishment from one of Europe’s best watchmakers rarely come to market.
