The Submariner is Rolex’s most iconic watch and up until 1967 the 5513/2 were the only models available and didn’t have a date. The 5513 is a genuine classic and this one’s beautiful.

Made in 1965, the solid steel case is unpolished and has a number of scratches and marks on the case sides and case back. The original and untouched dial is stunning. Aged to a tropical dark brown with some lume plots showing as orange and some in a very light green – most dials from this period are replaced or refinished and whilst this one does show its age it’s got real charm. They have domed ‘tropical’ lens which makes it difficult to capture the colours so I’ve taken a WhatsApp video and if you’d like a copy please advise your number. The movement (pictures taken at Steven Hale) is in excellent condition and has just a full service from Steven Hale Watch Restoration so comes with their 2 year guarantee. SHWR have also put a new, genuine Rolex bracelet on the watch (total cost of service and bracelet is £1,980.00).

This is an amazing watch, totally original (aside from the new guaranteed genuine Rolex bracelet).

As with the majority of pre-owned watches that are 10 years or older, this particular watch does not come with its box or original paperwork. The watch is 100% genuine and rest assured we provide a lifetime guarantee on the authenticity and provenance of all the watches we sell.

Although there is no original paperwork, we do provide a written invoice and 3 page insurance valuation with the pictures of the watch and all available reference numbers.
